Today it is the turn of Miss Dior muse Natalie Portman to unveil, in an exclusive video, the favourite reads she slips into her Dior Book Tote bag – a timeless icon – embellished with the entrancing Mexico Millefiori motif.

A unique encounter, at the crossroads of writing and fashion, in the magnificent Labrouste room of the emblematic Bibliothèque Nationale de France1.

The actress reveals her most memorable literary experiences2: from Benjamín Labatut’s stunning When We Cease to Understand the World, to Italian novelist Elena Ferrante’s unmissable My Brilliant Friend, to Rebecca Solnit’s inspiring Hope in the Dark: Untold Histories, Wild Possibilities and Susan Sontag’s captivating On Photography.

Among her (re)discoveries, Natalie Portman also delves into Todd Haynes: Chimères américaines (Todd Haynes: American Chimeras), by Judith Revault-d’Allonnes and Amélie Galli, featuring shots that trace the filmmaker’s virtuoso career. An ode to the power of books, reflecting Dior’s passion for creation and beauty in all forms.
